Kaiser Permanente appoints Dr. Andrew Bindman new chief medical officer

Oakland-based managed-care consortium Kaiser Permanente has named Dr. Andrew Bindman as chief medical officer and executive vice president. Bindman will be a part of Kaiser's executive leadership team and report directly to CEO Greg Adams. He replaces Dr. Patrick Courneya, who returned to Minneapolis-based HealthPartners as its chief medical officer in April after a six-year stint at Kaiser.
