Theranos founder Holmes still faces fraud trial after some charges get dropped

A federal judge threw out some charges against Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes on Tuesday, but she and the defunct company's president still faces trial on fraud charges. Judge Edward Davila, presiding over the case in U.S. District Court in San Jose, ruled that only charges pertaining to patients who paid for Theranos blood testing services with their own money could go forward.
